The Grand Tour

I've been a bit lazy about taking pictures of the new place. But finally here they are. Well, at lease the photos I took from the property management company's website, hehe =) (refer back to the 1st sentence)

The back yard. Althought ours hardly looks like this, the previous tenants never did any maintnence. So for not our back yard is made up of chopped down weeds and crabgrass. Hopefully soon PRS will send out a landscaper or I can finally finish the job myself. Anyways, our back yard is just a bit wider and has a lifted garden bed at the back.

Just walking up from the stairs leading to the main floor is the livingroom to the right and the kitchen is to the left. Straight ahead at the top of the 1st stairs is the 1/2 bath. On the left of the pic you can see the stairs that lead to the bedrooms. On the ground floor we have a garage where we keep the washer and dryer and weight lifting stuff.

The other night Vince and I were talking about how we have been living in Portland for almost a year. We talked about how we love living here but miss Southern California at the same time. He brought up how he regrets not taking advantage of living in SoCal., like going out and seeing and doing more. This made me think back to the best years of my life.





My friend Jenny, who I met in 8th grade, and I were always out adventuring. We mostly took random late nights drives, getting lost, exporing new areas, driving to San Fancisco just to cross the Golden Gate Bridge at night, year passes to all the adventure parks, skipping classes at RCC to go to San Diego or Barnes and Noble, mmm and the trips to Downtown Disney just to go to that specific Wetzel Pretzel. We did this from the time I moved back from Chico in 2001 till about 2003. We drifted apart a bit and then became roommtates in in 2005, after we moved out of our apartment we didn't keep in contact as much until about the past year. We talk (well text, since neither one of us is a big phone person) almost daily, and I am so thankful for those memories.

So this is not the best picture of us, but majority of the ones I have of the 2 of us aren't digital. This was back when we lived in Canyon Crest together =)

I have been thinking of applying at PSU and going back to school to get a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work to focus in child and family studies. The thought has been on my mind for the past couple months, I have brought it up and toyed around with the idea. I read a story awhile back about an unfortunate event that changed a young mans life around, but he never failed to see the positive in everything. He ended his story with a quote, "You were born to live, you don't live because you were born" I have read inspirational stories before and they have always made me feel good and all that good inspirational stuff, but for some reason this one really touched me and really makes me want to go out there and do something I never really thought I'd do. I don't know, it's only an idea right now.
